- It’s easy, select an ambience scenario and subject and dial in your camera settings and voilà. LightCalc will now tell you how over- or underexposed your subject and background are for the given camera settings. You can now add a light source (from a list of industry-standard manufacturers) as well as diffusion material to compensate for exposure differences.

- The calculations and results are based on real-life physics (optics) and thus very accurate. The illuminance values of the ambient scenarios are averages and should give you are rough ballpark. The specs of the differnet lighting fixtures and diffusion materials are based on the manufacturer's information and oftentimes best-case values. Real-life data my vary slightly depending on the age and condition of the fixture or diffusion material.
